Over the past 50 years more than 1200 Gottwald Mobile Harbour Cranes have manufactured and delivered worldwide including India as well. Demag India has successfully delivered the concept of Mobile Harbour crane to Indian ports and who had added advantages by using the multipurpose Gottwald mobile harbour cranes. The first ever such crane was commissioned in 1998 at Port of Pipavav, the first Indian private port. Demag has also successfully commissioned two more mobile harbour cranes, of 100 MT at Adani Port Mundra in 2000. Mundra Port had taken additional Two cranes in 2005. Few more customers like D P world, Navalmar have selected Gottwald.
Depending upon the site conditions, these cranes can deliver a handling rate for bulk operations upto a maximum of 1800 TPH and for the containers in the range of 25 – 28 containers per hour.
