Demag Cranes opens new facility in Pune
German crane manufacturer, Demag Cranes, today opened a new facility at Chakan near Pune which will add its capacity and help it introduce newer models in the domestic market. The facility, built in eight months at a cost of 8 million euro, has a capacity of constructing 600 standard cranes and 100 process cranes every year, a release issued here said.
Demag, which set up shop in India in 1997, primarily targets three segments--industrial cranes, services and ports--and has over 600 customers.
